Description
The DesertX V2 is built to go a long way off the tarmac, often with you standing on the pegs in off-road boots. This kit gives the gear arm a solid second support, so the shift stays positive when the riding gets rough.
Supplied as a complete assembly
The kit is a full, ready-to-fit assembly: a CNC-machined frame that mounts to the engine, a Racetorx gear arm with a sealed bearing in place, and stainless fixings. It replaces the standard gear arm.
How a gear shift support helps on the DesertX V2
Off-road boots are stiff, and shifting while standing puts uneven force through the lever. When the gear arm is held only by the gearbox shaft, that force flexes the linkage. Supporting the arm on its outer side keeps the shift accurate, and the sealed bearing copes with mud, dust and water.

- Material: CNC-machined T6 billet aluminium
- Finish: UV-stable anodising, black

Fitting and maintenance
- Torque the two M10 mounting bolts to 45 Nm.
- Use a medium-strength threadlocker on the supplied bolts.
- After riding off-road, check the fixings are tight.
- Please have a competent mechanic fit it.

It does not cover crash or impact damage, normal wear, incorrect fitting, over-tightening or parts that have been modified. Orders outside the UK – we post worldwide. Parcels sent outside the UK may be charged import duty, local taxes (such as VAT, GST or sales tax) and courier handling fees by the destination country. These are not included in our prices or postage and are payable by the buyer on delivery.
