Aprilia GEN1-GEN2 gear shift support


The Gear shift support limits deflection on the gear selector output shaft and provides more positive shifting

This helps prevent miss shifts & false neutrals, giving smoother gear changes and protection in an event of a spill.
The gear shaft is only supported by 2 bearings, The gear shaft that protrudes out the engine can vary from 15mm up to 100mm. when you change gear you get lateral movement which in essence bends the shaft between the bearings inside the engine. This then pulls the selector forks away from the drum, It’s enough to cause the effect of miss shifts & false neutrals.
The Racetorx gear shift support as a third bearing counteracts the lateral movement inside the engine.
This does not only help with these faults but supports the shaft in an event of a spill too.

Material- 6061-T6 aluminium

Aesthetically pleasing with hard anodizing for corrosion protection.

Anodise- hard anodizing in Black, Silver, Red, Blue, Gold.

This is suitable to be used in conjunction with quick shifters for a more responsive gear change.

GEN1 owners be aware to fit this you will need to cut a little of the sprocket cover on the side (Shift support won’t be seen when fitted)


Once you remove the metal sleeve in your sprocket cover, If there is a step which stops the shift support going right through, be sure to drill it out with a 10mm drillbit to allow clearance of the shift support. THE TITANIUM ADAPTOR ON THE BASE OF THE SHIFT SUPPORT MUST SIT ON THE ENGINE CASE.
