KTM Super Duke Throttle Play Spacer Kit.
Fly by wire Throttle assemblies naturally have a lot of play. We Have decided to fix this problem by designing a spacer kit that is inexpensive.
In the kit you get 4 spacers, 2 extra just in case you break or lose any, if at the end you still have 2 spares why not fit them to your friend’s bike?
If you have any questions or want to know if it fits your bike which isn't stated here, please send a picture of your throttle assembly.
To fit, separate the throttle housing by removing x2 Phillips head screws. Pull the throttle tube out and add x2 Racetorx spacers, slide the throttle tube back on slowly and you will feel slight resistance as it seats into location. screw the x2 screws back and job done. now the feel is precise and responsive.

    Spot on!

    A little fiddly to fit but if you use a small dab of grease to hold the spacers in place whilst reassembling it’s pretty straightforward.

    The results are perfect, no more slop – mid-bend throttle control is greatly
    improved.

    I became aware of the Racetorx product through a Youtube channel (Robbiemoto) where he fitted the spacers to his KTM Super duke 1290 R and commented that he felt that adding the spacers provided an improved throttle feel. I wholeheartedly agree with this viewpoint as the play in the throttle has been been completely removed through fitment of the spacer, which has made for an improved rider experience – especially when trying to modulate the throttle at low speeds. Fitment was straight forward (at least on a KTM Super duke 1290 R Gen 3 bike). Basically, the throttle spacers deliver an improved throttle feel (subjectively) at a very agreeable price – especially when you compare to another company offering the same product at much inflated price level!

    Good product, it removes the throttle `free` space completely. It is a bit `hard` to install if you have big fingers like me. Luckily they provide you with a couple of extra spacers as I crushed one between my fingers and let one fall in the throttle housing…

    Once installed, perfect product!

    (Installed it on my KTM 1290 Superduke R 2015, Gen 1.)

    The throttle slack (that might seem insignificant when you rattle the start of the twist grip by only 1mm) ruins power delivery in my opinion, especially mid-corner. This 10 minute modification (just the undoing of 2
    Screws on my SDGT 2020) is really easy and makes my amazing bike even more special. It’s an absolute must to do.

    Absolutely Fantastic product for the money. Makes such a difference to the throttle. No play whatsoever. Why it’s not like this from the factory is shameful but RaceTorx to the rescue! PS just buy them!
